In excited preparation to the publication of INTO BEING: the radical craft of memoir and its power to transform I will be posting a series of interviews with memoirists, those that formed the foundation of my research, and new writers - recently published. This one, with Nic Wilson, is a new one. If you haven’t already pre ordered a copy of INTO BEING, you can do so with my local bookshop, Gloucester Road Books, here. And even better - it will be a copy signed by me. It is really important for authors to get pre-orders. The more they get the better it looks for booksellers who are more likely to stock our books. So if you are considering buying my book for yourself or for a friend, please think about pre-ordering.
I was very lucky to have this discussion with Nic Wilson this past week, discussing her wonderful debut memoir Land Beneath the Waves, about her battle with chronic illness, and the legacy of her mother’s ME and depression, and how she finds solace in the natural world.
This is such an enlightening discussion about the transformative power of writing and reading. If you’re interested in reading Nic’s book, you can purchase it from all good bookshops, and online from here.
