Memoir WIP SURGERY!
This coming Monday 23rd, at 6pm BST I will run the next surgery. This one is on the importance of the reflective voice.
Just a brief note to say I am running my June Memoir WIP Surgery this coming Monday night, because I am going away on holiday next Thursday and the rest of the week is busy with my Memoir Club over on
(Wednesday) and my son’s prom on Tuesday night! My Memoir Surgery is for paid subscribers only.I have just finished teaching my Memoir Bootcamp: Get Submission Ready course, and it’s been so inspiring. I had the most amazing group of writers and have come to the end feeling a little bereft! But also full of thoughts about the blocks that writers of memoir regularly come up against. This month I want to discuss the importance of the reflective voice, which is something that feels very particular to memoir. It’s not essential, but it’s certainly a big part of what defines it.
The session will happen at 6pm BST this coming Monday, 23rd June. And I will send the Zoom link out later in the week.
If you’ve never come along to one of my Memoir WIP Surgeries, you can find out more about them in this post below… and I really hope to see some of you there.
I also want to tell you that after the Memoir Bootcamp: Get Submission Ready was so successful, I want to run it again early next year. It is application only and is best for those of you who are quite advanced with your memoirs. If you’re interested, you can find out more about it here:
And if you are a beginner or are not so advanced with writing your memoir, you might like a course I’m running in the autumn called Creative Nonfiction: Compelling Memoir, details here:
